Bio - Lise Williams

I love being creative whether it's for an illustrative painting, a website, or an organization's event poster. My work often involves using with rich, vivid materials, sometimes it's paint other times it's the endless colors choices available on the computer. I enjoy working with a variety of media and divide my creative energy between the canvas and the computer, where I create using drawing apps on the Ipad and I also work in illustration, mixed media, and graphic design. Lately I have been experimenting with different styles and techniques in part because of my love of art history and the vast number of incredible artists whose work I enjoy and find inspirational.
My academic study in art began at the University of Texas where I majored in art history with a minor in studio art (BFA 1985). I earned a master’s degree in art history from the University of Virginia (MA 1990) and another degree in graphic design from Vermont College of Fine Arts (MFA 2016).
I also run an independent graphic design business where I work with clients to create custom digital and print materials. Most of all, I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to devote my time these days to design and painting. Please let me know if you have an interest in any particular artwork or would like to commission art or graphic design. For more on my graphic design go to Indigo Art Design.
